The Victorian Sea Kayak Club (VSKC) was established in 1979 to bring together sea kayakers from across Victoria, and provide opportunities for members to paddle together, develop their sea kayaking skills, and socialise.

Our mission is to cultivate sea kayaking as an enjoyable adventure one that is inclusive, safe and sustainable.

Our purpose is to:

  • provide a forum for members to pursue sea kayaking responsibly by facilitating sea kayaking related activities
  • develop the skills, standards and competencies of our members
  • advance, promote and enhance standards for the selection and use of sea kayaks and equipment.
  • There are no forum topics to display.

We run regular trips throughout the year, as well as one-off paddles and training sessions.

We paddle in coastal and enclosed waters, and rivers and lakes. Some paddles are half day or day trips, while others are multi-day, kayak-camping trips.

The club runs training sessions conducted by members who are highly experienced and accredited instructors.

We have a grading system for paddlers so that we can tailor trips to suit all levels of proficiency.

We welcome new members and encourage a culture in which members help each other with skills, gear, safety, trip information and organisation.
