VSKC Committee’s COVID-19 activity guidelines for members

29 Dec 2021 2:09 PM | Anonymous

As COVID-19 continues to find new ways of impacting upon us, the VSKC Committee thought it timely to remind members of the club's COVID-19 activity guideline for members.

The committee notes the strong health advice from our Federal and State health authorities for all who can, to get vaccinated.

As always, the committee asks that all members make themselves aware of the public health restrictions as they apply to our club activities and always act in accordance with the restrictions that are in force at the time and general advice available from the Department of Health and any Federal or State recommendations or requirements that are applicable.

Paddle Victoria also has useful guidance for the club and in particular trip leaders:

  • If a case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in a member or a confirmed case has attended your activity or event, please contact your state health authority immediately to get further advice on what steps need to be followed.
  • Clubs can assist the state public health authorities to provide prompt advice by keeping a record of who has attended an activity or an event and what day and time the activity or the event took place; and providing the contact details of those who have attended the event or activity.

Even under our COVIDSafe settings and with the reservations many of us have as to how this pandemic will play out, it is still very exciting to think we can get together and enjoy our paddling and socializing again.

Welcome to VSKC Club's Blog

Hello to everyone and welcome to the club's new blog. The committee has listened to your calls for more communication on the website and we will now be using this blog. All news will be posted here regularly and will be accessible to all club members including those who are not on Facebook.

I encourage members to send the committee any interesting news that you may have whether it be happening around the club or somewhere you have been.

We are also starting a public facing Facebook site that will be for promotion of the club. This will not have members information, names, photos unless a member wishes to join or share their information. Member's can join and I encourage you to do so.  The Facebook site member are presently using will continue to function and will remain a closed group.  I am looking  forward to posting news here for all members and I look forward to any stories of news you would like to see added.
